Highly rated on TripAdvisor, it has breath taking views from its position on the edge of the idyllic villageĀ of Cemaes.Ā Less than 5 minutes walk to the shops, pubs and cafes.
The Moorings provides an ideal base for exploring the area. The large garden provides plenty of space for kayaks, plus storage for bicycles, fishing and beach equipment. For the adventurous there is a small slipway steps away from the gate which provides excellent launching for small sailing dinghyās and kayaks.
A fantastic location for a family holiday, walking, kayaking, sailing, cycling, birdwatching or fishing. A real versatile location !

Just returned from a week’s holiday at The Moorings (ground floor apartment). The location is superb – such a lovely sea view from many of the rooms, especially the dining room and the garden, which is huge. We loved the ladder with access to the beach. The house is very comfortable and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. It’s also great to have somewhere with 3 bathrooms. Great customer service from Coastal Holidays. Would thoroughly recommend both them and the property. We’ve already booked to go back next year!

Repeat visitors here and once again, the view just makes this place. It is airy and well configured for an old house. Bedroom 3 at back is very small but comfy and each bedroom can have a seperate bathroom if needed. We are adventure seeking people and it’s brilliant to go cycling, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, walking, coasteering and sea jumping (If you know what you are doing). It’s at the quiet end of the bay but within easy reach of the shops etc…. 5 min walk.
If you just want to chill, there are multiple places to do this, like the side decking with great BBQ (please clean for future guests), the gardens, the elevated decking overlooking the bay or the sun room which also has great views around 2 sides of the house, both to the bay.
Look, this place could do with a slightly bigger kitchen and more room in 1 bedroom but everything else counts that out. It’s brill and we will definately be using it again. The lounge is huge with a lovely old fireplace (Log burner) if needed in the colder months. The owners leave you to it but are always there if something went wrong. Coastal are very good agents as well and keep on top of any enquiries in what has been a difficult year for the travel and holiday industry. The view (Top Flat) which is slightly smaller is also brilliant! You are literally on the edge of the beach.
Thanks again.May 2021

The Property: A lovely property in a fantastic location overlooking the bay
We took the downstairs apartment which offered comfy beds and plenty of room to spread out, with garden to rear and a great little veranda to the side for coffee time or lunch. The lounge area is very cosy with full size TV and and a variety seating
Owners provide full kitchen utilities and a washer and dryer. with extremely helpful owners if assistance is ever required.,Location: The walks on the cliffside are to die for and there are several decent restaurants close by the ‘Gladys’, less than a mile away , we found the best quality in terms location atmosphere and food good and the ‘Trecastle’ in Bull Bay also decent. We did not try the local pub The Stagg, as it was a little too small for social distancing.
Last., but not least, we found excellent service from Coastal Holidays.
A good time had by all.

This property was bright and clean and spacious with many pleasant aesthetic touches. The views from many of the rooms as well as from the garden are fantastic. It was wonderful to be able to climb out of the garden over the stile and scramble down the rocks to the sea. With 2 young people suffering badly with CFS/ME we only left Cemaes itself once, and they hardly left the property, but there was still plenty to appreciate and for the healthier members of the family to enjoy too.

The Moorings was a perfect venue for holiday. Its’ location is perfect, on the coastal path and overlooking the ever changing scenes of a coastal bay. We four ladies go away each year for a catch up. After our walks we relaxed with books admiring the peaceful outlook. The house is perfectly appointed with every requirement you could think of. There is a good convenience store and a cafe that serves good food. The only down side was that we were only there for 3 days!! As the saying goes ‘We will return’

First stayed in The Moorings in February 2017 when storm Doris hit the coast. The property was up for sale at the time.
New owners have done a great job of giving the house new life, looks much better with its new paint job, great ensuite and fabulous shower!
Weāve had a great week, weather got better and better. Long walk to Bull Bay via porcelain works and brick works, well earned pint at the pub before being picked up. Saw a seal, lizard and lots of nesting sea birds.
Fishing as usual, no fish. Two dog fish caught in the bay near powerstation. And of course, we got crabs on the crab lines. Gobis and shrimps in the rock pools

The Moorings is simply a wonderful place to stay ā the location is just perfect! We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here ā spent mainly kayaking around the bays nearby, but also just sitting back and enjoying the stunning views from the house.
Thank you so much for keeping the house so well stocked ā the childrenās toys and the ādot-to-dotā books were particularly popular this week, we never sort of activities to choose from!
Top Tip ā the crabs round here love bacon! ā there are plenty of crabbing lines and buckets ( as well as a whole host of other useful items) in the shed. Oh and the outside shelter is just brilliant for hanging up wet wet suits and life jackets ā so useful.
Thank you for a fantastic week ā we hope to be back again very soon!

Stayed at the Lower Flat, The moorings in July 2015 and have already booked our next break. A fantastic house with all the comforts and facilities that you would expect- microwave, toaster, ironing board, washer, dryer etc but what makes this house really special is it’s location and the amazing views of the bay. The house has beautiful views, especially from the dining room. The back garden is literally on the beach. Straight over the garden steps and you’re on the beach. Even in the summer holidays the beach was empty and felt like part of the back garden. If you get bored of the beach there are plenty of places to go for day trips and in walking distance are shops, a pub and a great park with a very fast zip wire. Go out the back garden and you will find yourself on a beautiful coastal path which goes on for miles. The kids absolutely loved this house and the surroundings as did the adults and it made for the perfect holiday.

Exceeded all expectations! The outside area allowed the kids to play safely and the adults the opportunity to relax, taken the views and appreciate the fantastic weather from the well placed areas of raised decking. Access to the beach could not be easier and the locale services just up the road. We all had a great stay.

“Our family had a wonderful stay at the moorings. The children loved the toy room and the adults loved the views and comfort of the flat. We particularly liked the conservatory where we spent most of the time when not out at the beach which is so close it was perfect for the little ones to access. I am currently in the process of booking for next year.”
