Property description

Ground floor

Kitchen/dining room
The well-equipped spacious kitchen is illuminated by three arched windows with views of the surrounding countryside. Recent refurbishment has created a large homely kitchen area with a granite worktop and Rayburn cooker adding to the cosy, welcoming feel as well as the inclusion of modern facilities that do not compromise the properties character, including an induction hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, freezer, American style fridge, and washing machine. A large dining table with eight dining chairs provides spacious seating for everyone to enjoy a very sociable atmosphere.

Lounge
The panelled lounge has three comfortable fabric sofas: two three-seaters and a two-seater. There is a large pine coffee table and a small pine side table which complement the natural pine flooring. A log burner is set in an attractive period fire surround. The windows offer fine views of the beach and sea. There is a 32in TV ā€“ and plenty of books and DVDs can be found on the shelves. This impressive room is a great place to relax and enjoy the sea views and magical evening sunsets.

Reading room
The small reading room next to the lounge is the perfect spot in the cottage to sit down and relax. The small sitting area has a table, two chairs and a variety of books on the book shelf, perfect for a quiet moment, enjoying a glass of wine and your favourite book.

Downstairs

Bedroom 1
This ground floor bedroom enjoys lovely views over the garden and contains a king size double bed, a pedestal sink unit, a chest of drawers and a bed side table.

Bedroom 2
This spacious ground floor twin bedroom contains two single beds

Bathroom
The downstairs bathroom contains a bath with a shower over the bath, a wash basin, drawer unit and toilet. There are attractive views of the surrounding countryside through the large windows which can be screened by shutters. Towels are provided. However please bring your own beach towels.

Shower room
A shower room is situated between bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 on the ground floor, and contains an enclosed walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin.

Wet room
There is a fully tiled wet room with shower opposite the downstairs bathroom and adjacent to the kitchen, perfect to rinse out the sandy toes after the day spent at the Cable beach.

First floor
PLEASE NOTE: access to the first floor bedrooms is via steep stairs, which may present some difficulties in climbing, for some people. The double bedroom is accessed through the twin bedroom in the Crog Loft. These first floor rooms are recommended only for agile adults and older children under adult supervision, given the steepness of the access stairs.

Bedroom 3
There is a king size double bed and two bedside table

Bedroom 4
There are two single beds and a chest of drawers. This twin room is connected to the double room. The dormer windows give both bedrooms a light and airy feel.

  • Location, location, location is everything….. !! Waking up right next to the beach at Cable Cottage is quiet and peaceful. A place with sooooo much history + character. sooooo comfortable + cosy. We cooked all our own meals + had lots of conversation around the large kitchen table and the sunsets were amazing…!! Loved every minute of our week here….. Thank you.

    September 2021

  • We had a great week with the kids, grandkids. A location like this at this price is fantastic value.

    August 2021

  • In over 30 years of staying on Anglesey, Iā€™ve never stayed in a place as beautiful as Cable Cottage.
With four children, all of different ages, this cottage is perfect. One or two baby gates will be needed if you have a toddler but other than that the cottage was safe, secure, very homely and clean.
The outside space before the beach is perfect for children playing where you can see them if you have chores to do.
The best part, no WiFi. Complete family time for us. Not to everyoneā€™s like, but if you need WiFi you can roam the island and pick it up somewhere.
The beach on the doorstep, whether itā€™s for swimming, paddling, exploring rock pools, crabbing, watching the sunset or just opening the window to listen to the waves, Crugmor has it in abundance. Perfect little spot and youā€™ll find you have no real need to venture elsewhere unless you fancy a short stroll over the tops to Church Bay.
Stock up on some wood, the fire is a real delight of an evening and really easy to clean out in the morning.
I highly recommend this property and all it has to offer. I will be rebooking every year.

    May 2021

  • Had a brilliant week away at Cable Cottage. The location just cannot be beaten. We all had a brilliant time and will be visiting again.

    April 2021

  • The layout of the cottage enables people to have space and privacy but at the same time the large kitchen is fabulous for family meals. Lounge is also a comfortable space to relax together. Superb views. Will be back hopefully.

    February 2020

  • It was our fourth stay at Cable Cottage and we were again not disappointed. After lockdown it seemed like paradise and we were lucky enough to be the first guests allowed and that felt very special especially as we had not seen our son and family who we shared the house with since January.
The house is warm, the cooking is sometimes challenging on the Rayburn! The views are spectacular.
    Roll on next year……

    July 2020

  • We loved being at Cable, lots of walks with the dogs. Cottage was cosy and just like coming home. It was good to be back.

    Oct 2019

  • Yet another wonderful family holiday in Cable Cottage – everything is just great and we have already booked again!

    June 2019

  • Another wonderful week at wonderful Cable Cottage. It becomes more relaxing each time we come and we never want to leave. Back again next year!!

    June 2018

  • This is our second visit and the third booked for next year…..the perfect place for a family holiday.

    Nov 2017

  • We had a great week at Cable Cottage, which was very well equipped and comfortably furnished. The location was perfect and once we had found it (the sat nav took us to Church Bay) everything went smoothly. We hope to return.

    Aug 2017

  • Another wonderful family holiday at cable cottage. The location is perfect for visiting places around the island, eating at our favourite restaurant or just relaxing on the beach. The weather was also wonderful. We will be back.

    May 2017

  • We stayed for one week with our dog at Cable Cottage and can only say that we had the most relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable holiday.
The position, right next to beach & on coastal path could not be bettered, and the cottage had everything to ensure a comfortable stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone who wants to get away from it all and just chill out.

    May 2017

  • Cable cottage is a beautiful cottage in a quiet location- which was just what we were looking for. The little beach is right outside your window and we had it to ourselves most of the time, apart from the odd dogwalker. The cottage itself is very well equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The only thing I would say is that the garden isn’t fully enclosed -so if you have young children or a dog that likes to wander, just be mindful of this. The garden however is lovely and big, with plenty of sitting areas. We particularly liked the astro turf seating area at the side of the house where you could sit with a drink looking out to sea. Perfect! We had a lovely stay at the cottage and have already booked our next stay there!.

    Sept 2016

  • We have stayed at Cable cottage several times now and will be returning again. It is right next to a secluded beach where you can build a sand castle (when the sea is out) watch the sun set or relax on the terrace with a glass of wine. The cottage is very well equipped with a fantastic large kitchen area and huge dinning table and chairs, where many happy times were spent at the end of the day over dinner.

    Aug 2016

  • Lovely 2 wk holiday with family! Fabulous view, and cottage very well kept by owners ,also house keeper made sure everything was in order on our arrival

    Aug 2016

  • We have yearned to stay in this cottage for several years and it lived up to and beyond our expectations!! Beautifully appointed – not just relying on the stunning location! – and we were so comfortable here. We especially loved the astroturf seating area – this was inspired and much used by us. And also of course the wonderful kitchen with the perfect long table – lots of space for all.

    12 Jun 2016

  • Have just spent our second Easter at Cable Cottage and our third holiday in this wonderful location. Despite some cold and wet weather we were snug and warm thanks to the wood burner and the Aga whilst we watched some angry seas. Looking forward to our next visit in August.
