Things to do / Places to Visit nearby
Benllech Beach (Blue Flag) – Situated on the east coast of Anglesey Benllech is one of the most popular of the island’s holiday villages. Set in a crescent-shaped bay, its pleasant beach of fine golden sand and clear blue waters are exceptionally safe for bathing and paddling.
Moelfre Beach –Ā Moelfre is quite a pretty little pebble beach overlooked by the village. The bay is very sheltered and the slipway makes it a popular spot for launching boats.
Lligwy Beach –Ā Wide, sandy beach located just around the corner from the village of Moelfre. The beach of Traeth Lligwy is backed by low sand dunes giving it a wild, open feel, which is exactly what it is.

A good week at Bodafon. Making people wait till 5pm to get keys is unnecessary. The area around the lodge needs some tidying up but the lodge itself is of a good standard. Friendly staff and good location for visiting Beaches around Benellch. Overall an enjoyable holiday and a comfortable stay.

We found this site while searching for a three bedroomed placed to stay on Angelsey. It appealed as it appeared roomy and was very close to Red Wharf Bay, one of the places we were keen to visit. With 6 of us in two cars, we also needed the space! Very impressed when we arrived – the guy on reception took us over and showed us around. It really does have everything you’d need whilst your away. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed – microwave, gas cooker, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. The lounge area had two sofas, with a large screen TV and surround sound system. The two twin rooms were pretty good, too. The main bedroom was very nice, with a small dressing area leading into the en-suite. One thing that impressed everyone was the shower pressure. We’ve been away before and one thing that we constantly see is a poor shower. Not here – very good pressure and a joy to use. The entrance contained the boiler and a washer / dryer – a real bonus when you have 6 people and a mountain of washing to do! Outside, we had a fenced off decked area to ourselves, which we enjoyed at tne end of the day with a view of the sea. It has a patio table and chairs, with a large parasol. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Lodge and wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend it to anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable base to visit the North of Wales.
