Read MoreThe Anglesey Sea Zoo is an aquarium and independent research and marine education centre at Brynsiencyn on the Menai Strait. This major all-weather attraction offers an amazing ‘underwater’ view with the thrill of crashing waves, the Seven Sisters shipwreck, the lobster hatchery, the seahorse nursery, the shark pool and a kelp forest full of huge fish. You can get close to the marine life with the daily talks from the Zoo’s biologists. Outside there is a bouncy castle, the pirate’s playground, crazy golf, a gift shop and café, and great views of Snowdonia. Full details are at www.angleseyseazoo.co.uk
Even though the Beacon Climbing Centre is at Caernarfon (just a short distance from Anglesey) it sounds just the thing for energetic kids. It promises a new, whacky approach to indoor climbing that will be fun for anyone over five years of age. All sessions are fully supervised and employ automatic safety systems. 90 minute taster sessions will let you experience the exhilaration of climbing. There is a spectator area where drinks, snacks and meals are available. Full details are at www.beaconclimbing.com
