The Island Marathan (1/2 marathon)
1st March
Starting from the iconic Menai suspension Bridge heading towards Beaumaris Castle and back.
Anglesey Oyster festival
23 – 24th May
An annual 2-day event showcasing Welsh artisan food products, Oysters, baked goods, confectionary, beet etc, a great event held in the grounds of the Trearddur Bay Hotels.
Menai Food Festival
25th & 26th July
Event brings together local producers in market style displays showcasing local seafood and produce from the local area. Lots of demonstrations, music and fun for all the family, usually the event attracts well over 10 thousand people!
Menai Strait Regatta
3rd August
Showcasing many different kinds of boats, mainly centered around the northern tip of the Menai Strait around the Beaumaris area.
Moelfre Lifeboat day
8th August
One of the biggest annual events in Anglesey. Music, stalls and much more including a display from the RAF Valley helicopter.
Anglesey Agricultural Show
11th & 12th Aug
A 2-day jamboree held at The Showground, Gwalchmai, Holyhead. Over 300 trade stands, food halls, beer tents, floral displays. Cookery competitions and music etc. Livestock is also paraded including, sheep, cattle and more.
Tour Du Mon
22nd August
Famous Anglesey cycle race, staged at Newry Beach Holyhead. In 2018 there were over 1,000 cyclists and 2021 is set to be an even bigger event.
Anglesey Beer festival
Sept – Dates TBC
Hosted by the Lions Club at Wylfa sports & social club, Cemaes Bay, event to include alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks and food. There is enterntainment on the Friday evening
Anglesey Marathon - Ring of Fire
4th – 6th September
An epic 135 mile ultra marathon, not for the faint hearted. A 3-day race starting and finishing at the Breakwater country Park Holyhead.
Beaumaris Food Festival
5th & 6th September
Great live music, great food and family make this one of Anglesey’s premier events.
Anglesey Vintage Rally
Saturday 15th May to Sunday 16th May
The Anglesey Vintage Equipment Society organise this event held on the Anglesey Showground – Steam Engines, Commerical Vehicles, Tractors, Classic cars, Motorbikes, Mower Racing and more.
Anglesey Trail Half Marathon

Choose between the Anglesey Trail Half Marathon (20.5k) or the 10k
Menai Strait Regattas
Monday 26th July
An event largely based at Beaumaris, but other venues along the Strait are included right up to Caernarfon.
Anglesey Show
Tuesday 10th August to Wednesday 11th August
The Anglesey County Show is the largest two-day agricultural show in Wales, attracting approximately 55,000 people.
The All Wales Boat and Leisure Show
Tuesday 10th August to Wednesday 11th August
The All Wales Boat and Leisure Show is a celebratory festival of water-based and leisure park activities. Now in its seventh year, this show is unique to North Wales and Wales. Venue: the Anglesey Showground.
Ring OFire Anglesey Coastal Ultra Marathon
Friday 3rd September to Sunday 5th September
An annual 135 mile coastal ultra marathon circumnavigating the island on the Anglesey Coastal Path.
Love SwimRun Holy Island
Saturday 11th SeptemberThe 23km route takes in the rugged & beautiful coastline of Holy Island, beautiful cliff-top runs with views of the mountains of Snowdonia, hidden beaches, rocky swims, and a tough final climb up to the finish line.
Anglesey Sandman Triathlon
Saturday 18th September to Sunday 19th SeptemberStarting and finishing in Newborough Forest adjacent to Llanddwyn Beach, with a sea swim, road cycling, and trail run.
